This boy is a nutter!

Games
Everyone knows this boy is a nutter when it comes to games. He was just obsessed with tennis balls as usual and chased anything that moved.

Walks
Mali got out each day with someone different for his adventures around Yarraville. His favourite walking buddy was Bona and got on with him beautifully.

Naps
Mali was really wiped out from the heat this weekend so did a lot more sleeping than he normally does.

General Observations
Hangin' out with some new and different faces this weekend and bonding even more with the usual weekenders he knows. He was really well behaved and unusually calm because of the heat.

W.W.F. Smackdown

Games
Fergus is Mali's mate and they love having fun together. Loads of WWF Smackdown action today.

Walks
Mali was so excited to go for a walk today, I had to check my arm was still attached! He couldn't be stopped as he took to the streets of Yarraville, checking out the smells and keeping an eye out.

Naps
It was a very noisy night, some idiots next door kept everyone awake- I think he will sleep today.

General Observations
Some great fun with Fergus his kelpie pal and another big player called Paws. The trio of trouble had a great tug of war and loads of chasing games.

Kerri who?

Mali's real mum returned from Singapore for a 5 week visit last Thursday and his reaction was interesting to say the least. Mali had not seen his mum for a whole year and gave up looking for her or reacting to her name months ago!

First he was happy that there was a visitor, then he realised he knew this person, then he realised the person was Kerri and then he showed more than appropriate joy at her actually being HERE!

Mali isn't normally known for his intelligence, but the thought process he went through when Kerri was at the door was brilliant!

Both Mali and myself look forward to spending time with Kerri while she's here and we both hope she'll come back quicker next time.

A Huge Attitude

Games
Mali loves playing outside with the other dogs and chasing tennis balls is his favourite game. He always beats the other dogs.

Walks
Mal takes a little time to settle down but once he does, he is a dream. He loved walking out in the sunshine and loved all the other dogs we met.

Naps
Mali has a mat all sorted out right at the front of the pen so he can sleep but also see EVERYTHING that is going on.

General Observations
Mali is a great dog with a huge attitude. He is outgoing and happy to play with anyone. He loves tennis balls and jumping and also loves a cuddle! He is sooo fast and he loves winning too.

Mali couldn't contain his excitement as we headed out for some walking! He and Coco Chanel had a great time checking out what Yarraville was up to!

Indoor and Outdoor Playtime

Mali was out that door like a rocket!
He had a great time playing with all his mates as they ran around chasing balls all over the place! Lots of fun for Mali.

Snooze

Mali had a rest after all that activity, but it wasn't long before he was at it again!

Morning and Afternoon Walk

Mali was very very excited to get out today, so excited that he ended up walking me instead!
He is a very strong boy!

Indoor and Outdoor Playtime

A fair amount of exercise was spent today and a few good lessons learnt about barking for attention. He was very good and quite responsive to a moment of reflection in the quiet corner. He just fell asleep for a bit.

Mali was a scallywag but at the same time was totally playful and very adorable.

One Eye Open (sleepover report)

Games

Mali met a lovely girl called Gypsy from our North Melbourne site and never stopped playing with her. They bolted up and down the front yard non-stop and got rid of heaps of energy!

Walks

Mali did some exploring under the West Gate Bridge this weekend with Caitlyn. They discovered some new paths that needed exploring and even came across some bunnies.

Naps

Mali went under the agility ramp for a snooze. Always keeping one eye open for anything exciting going on.

General Observations

This gorgeous boy had such a great time!
He did lots of mingling with some new kids on the block and met up with some old friends he hadn't seen for a while.
He was very well behaved and caused no problems for his sleepover carers.

The Enormous Smile (Sleepover Report)

Games
Mali is quiet during the day but when it comes to games outside he is one excited doggie!
Once outside, he settles into some ball chasing which usually turns into a game of keepings off.

Walks
Mali made a great walking partner for Rory the German Shepherd. The two of them loved exploring the smell of bunnies under the Westgate and then explored Yarraville Village. Always with an enormous smile.

Naps
Mali never naps much during the day which makes life easy for his sleepover carers. When he does nap he likes sitting on the play equipment. zzzzz.

General Observations
Mali gets along so well with the Friday and Saturday crew. He takes it all in his stride, enjoying all the routine and exercise. He never seems to run out of batteries!

Great weather for it!

Mali is not feeling well.

He has a dry nose and just wants to sleep and sleep.

Guess he's got a cold just like everyone else in Melbourne!

With the top temperature for the day set at 13 degrees I don't blame Mali for not wanting to move!

One Happy Pooch

Mali joined in all the games played. His favourite was Chasey with all his buddies from pen 1.

Walks
Mali couldn't contain his excitement as we headed out into Yarraville to explore! Lots of good spots to sniff as Mali strolled along the streets.

Naps
Mali got the best spot everytime. Up on the couch for a snooze. Mali wasn't going to share either!

General Observations
Mali is one happy pooch and very vocal. He is best buddies with everyone. He will sleep well tonight with all that playing he's been doing.

Already Gorgeous

Walks
Mali was very excited at walk times. he was always keen to lead the way to the Westgate to see some bunnies!

Playtime
Mali always became very excited at playtimes, barking for joy when he saw the ball being thrown.

Snooze
Mali relaxed on the platfrom up high.

Was I Good
Most definately. Mali is always such a happy boy. Very enthusiastic and fun-loving.

Games
Mali went with the troupes off to the enclosed park at North Melbourne and had a huge play.

Walks
A big walk to Newport power station- very exhausting so another big afternoon walk for good sleep.

Naps
Totally knocked out and slept like an absolute angel. Not a care in the world.

General Observations
A very good day, he was jam packed with action, not a second of down time so nice and tired.

On Guard !!

Mali may be magnificent but his obsession with the possums living next door is keeping me up at night. He spends hours looking out the window into the darkness to make sure they don't dare enter 'his' yard!

Morning and Afternoon Walks
Mali was keen as mustard to get out for his walks. He beat the rain and marched around Stoney creek.

Indoor and Outdoor Playtime
Woo-Hoo, Mali was on fire! He darted around the front carpark chasing everyone who was up for it. There was no stopping Mr Mali today.

Snooze
Mali only snoozed for about 30 minutes today- too much to do!!

Was I good Today?
Mali was a good boy, but got a bit over-excited at times. He had a blast!!

DayCare report August 29th

Games
Mali runs around like a ninja! He's very quiet but quick especially during his favourite game "catch me if you can"

Walks
Mali was always eager to get out for his walks. He enjoyed sniffing lots of bushes as he strolled through the streets of yarraville.

Naps
Mali loves having a room with a view, he perches himself up onto the platform overlooking DC and his penmates.

General Observations
Mali was such a good boy!
During his sleepovers he crashed as soon as he got through the door from an exciting day.
Such a goos boy!

Day Care Report August 24th

Morning and Afternoon Walk
Mali was very enthusiastic to get out abd about. He loved his stroll on the town, lots of tail wagging there! Good job Mali.

Indoor and Outdoor Playtime
Mali is just non-stop!
He just loves to get out the front and play a good long game of fetch and chasey with all his furry buddies.

Snooze
It took a while for Mali to finally settle down and get to sleep, but when he did, he had a really long rest.

Was I good today?
Lots of burning energy today. Creating new games and meeting new people was top priority for him. He was on his best behaviour for his DC buddies.

Daycare Report 16th Jan 2009

Mali had a very nice walk, trying to find bunnies and birds, but was obedient as well. Walking around the oval, good boy.
Noon Snoozes
Under the fan a great spot for Mali to have a sleep.
Afternoon Romp
Outdoors for a faced paced romp around, Mali sprang straight into action and was running around like mad. Catch of the day!
Overall Happenings
Mali had a very fun day. He definately had his action pants on and was non-stop! Worn out, Mali relaxed under the shade sails.

Daycare Report 29/12/08 to 9th Jan 2009

Games
Mali has many new games. Tug-of -war with my old jumper is always good for some home time action. Tease the cats next door is another fave.
Walks
The king of walking perfectly. He does not distract, no silly moments. He's on the path and enjoys every single moment.
Naps
No daytime naps at all. At night he goes out and plays with daisy, gives the cats hell and then he's happy to settle.
General Observations
A little bit of a bark on some days but in general; a perfect holiday guest. He's been a real trooper and fitted in perfectly with all of his mates.

Daycare Report 21st Jan 2009

Games
He played in the water pods with his mates for most of the day. Too hot to do anyting but he still managed to chase balls around.
Walks
Last night we had a great walk around the golf course- Mali and Daisy chased bunnies.
Naps
A great big sleep last night and a walk to work this morning so he'll be good for a day!
General Observations
A great day of interaction and play. He loved being out in the water pods and last night at the golf course he was beside himself.

Games
Mali had so many willing friends to play with he was beside himself. Excitement plus Friday!! Yahoo
Walks
Mali was very excited to be out with Coco Channel. They are both excitable and well matched for command walking.
Naps
Not during the day but he certainly did last night. Not a ppep out of him until 5am.
General Observations
A man on a mission to play. He was not stopping until he had exhausted everyone in his pen and all of us as well.

Daycare Report 31st Jan 2009

Games
Mali certainly enjoys his time running around outsdie in the play area. Especially when the water pods are out.
Walks
Walking over the past couple of days was difficult because of the heat but a short walk early in the morning was okay.
Naps
Mali likes to nap, especially if he can find somewhere cool to do it.
General Observations
Mali has really settled in well at DC. He is such an affectionate boy, always up for a cuddle and a scratch.

Daycare Report 2nd Feb 2009

Games
Mali and Coco (Lab) have struck up a fabulous friendship and have been non-stop playing for three solid days! Water fights, tug-of-war and basketball chomping have been their faves!
Walks
A very good boy on his walks- even when we do a block at night time past your house he stays true to his path and keeps his attention on his walk.
Naps
There has been very little napping due to the non-stop play. He has been a little agitated at night but settles after some reassurance.
General Observations
Mali has a new bestie- Coco. They have been so much fun together and basketball chomping has been a great delight for them. (2 down, 2 to go)

Daycare Report 14th feb 2009 (black Saturday)

Games
Mali and our two bushfire dogs Nemo and Hudson are totally best buddies. They have rocked the house down and made us all stop and play with the trio of trouble.
Walks
Mali was absolutely perfect on his walks. Very well behaved and had lots to do with playing with leaves blowing in the wind.
Naps
Good naps at night- only cause he was bloody exhausted from all of his playtime antics. A cheerful tired boy.
General Observations
Funny boy let his hair doem and went wild- he's a total play machine with Golden retrievers. Non-stop action till he drops. He should be exhausted for sure.

Daycare Report 21st Feb 2009

Games
Young Mali has turned on the charm with a nise Rotti girl called Maja- they are now an item!!
Walks
Bit of zig-zagging and a lot of chat. He was quite distracted on his walks so he's back in training to get some rules.
Naps
His activities have been at the higher end of the scale so when its sleep time, he bombs out in seconds.
General Observations
A very busy boy, heaps of new friends and now a very special playmate. Maja and mali are the non-stop chasers and playfull all day long.

Daycare Report 1st March 2009

Games
Mali played tug-of-war and fetch with Pippy and Henry.
Walks
A walk down to the backwash. He had some off-lead time- very well behaved.
Naps
Sleeping on the top agility ramp in the afternoon.
General Observations
A routine stay for Mali. He had fun with his mates and has a new friend in Pippy!!

Daycare Report 4th March 2009

Morning Session
Speed racer Mali had a race around the lake and a good sniff in the grass- made all his friends keep up with his fast pace. Had lots to say at the lights!
Noon Snoozes
John Farnham sang about raindrops- put Mali in a deep sleep.
Afternoon Romp
A great afternoon of play. Mali took a shine to Skye (Collee Cross) and they tore around having a huge game of chasey.
Overall Happenings
Mali shouls sleep well tonight. He as a very busy boy. He scored four goals in a game of soccer with the boys!

Daycare Report 14th March 2009

Games
Mali got into the newest game- Spider Ball. A big ball with 8 ropes, everyone latches on and the more you pull the more treats you get!
Walks
A little distracted this week and needing some correction. Just minor pulling and lunging at children.
Naps
Very large energy expenditure so napping was quite essential to the mix. Reluctantly; he snoozed.
General Observations
An extreme amount of very willing mates who all wanted to corrupt our peace. We had some special needs dogs at DC this week.

Daycare Report 21st March 2009

Games
He was a little anti-social toward a couple of dogs so he got some solo training to keep him happy.
Walks
Much better walking. No lunging at all. He must be kept at your side and no off lead till he behaves.
Naps
Totally flaked out last night. He was just exhausted.
General Observations
Mali was given a full afternoon of training on Friday regarding lunging at other dogs and following commands. Hopefully; he will behave a little better for you.

Daycare Report 28th March 2009

Games
Mali loves to run around the carpark. He gets real excited and just wants a part of all the action. Funny boy, he ran and bolted around the carpark twice purely from excitement!
Walks
Mali raced out the door in a hurry to go for his walk. He soon settled down and walked well on the lead. Obeyed all commands and enjoyed being outside.
Naps
A good sleep on the 2nd bunk. Usually at about 2pm when we turn the soothing music on. Off to dreamland he looks really peaceful.
General Observations
Mali has good mates on his sleepover to keep him happy. He and Cedric loved hanging out and playing. Kept him occupied and a constant smile on his face.

Daycare Report 31st March 2009

Morning Session
Mali was very eager for his walk this morning. He stopped chatting to DC once we were on it!! He loved smelling all the scents and seeing what goes on outside DC. He needed some prompting.
Noon Snoozes
Some Beach Boys tunes for snooze time.
Afternoon Romp
Roger and I did some noise related training with Mali this afternoon which seems to have quite a positive effect on him.
Overall Happenings
Mali was a little agitated this morning but settled well after his walk. Training was great.

Daycare Report 4th April 2009

Games
Mali loves running around the carpark. He gets vocal at times, but hey, the boy is having fun!!
Walks
Mali knows he gets his favourite walk in the morning. Usually, he's first one out. The trail along the riverside keeps him smiling!
Naps
On a beanbag. Snuggled up to good mate Bessie. He loves dozing off at about 2pm when the music comes on.
General Observations
Mali loves his sleepover at Chelie's. He gets to sprawl on her couch and watch the latest series on tv!! Very happy boy..

Daycare Report 11th April 2009

Mali had an excellent play with Bruno and Molly (Kelpie Cross) and then all three went for a good run along the river to the Footscray Bridge.
Noon Snoozes
Last night he slept like a log. Nothing was going to wake him.
Afternoon Romp
Some very silly kid games are always great fun for the dogs. Tunnel ball gets them chasing anything that moves.
Overall Happenings
Mali had his paws sprayed several times- when he was nibbling. Keeps his face going "YUCK" as he tastes the teatree oil.

Daycare Report 18th April 2009

Games
Mali played very well with Cody, Nemo, Hudson, Matiblad and Ruby. All golden retrievers and the balck kid!
Walks
Some extra road training time for Mali. Very responsive to a whistle- try that.
Naps
A bit restless last night, got up and down a few times- noisy neighbours.
General Observations
Mali responded well to some high-pitched whistle training. He was quite good and enjoyed his playtime.

Daycare Report 25th April 2009

Games
Mali loves to chase his friends as fast as he can around the courtyard and in and out of the tunnels.
Walks
Mali did pull a little when on his walk, but soon relaxed and was very responsive on the lead and sat at all the crossings.
Naps
Snuggled up on the middle bubk with Cedric- Mali snoozed away to the sounds of ABBA- 30 minute nap.
General Observations
A fun-filled stay at DC as there was cool and interesting stuff happening. Lots of games with the four Vizslas!

Daycare report 10th May 2009

Games
Where there is fun and action you always find Mali. With Lucy and Charlie to play with it was a non-stop party, play chasing each-other or a ball. Whatever it was, it was pure fun!
Walks
Loads and loads of strong straight behaviour walks. No give, just strong commands and good walking with reward play.
Naps
Snuggled up on a beanbag with Isabella Mali snoozed away peacefully to the sounds of The Fray and Bon Jovi.
General Observations
Mali's weekly party was amazing as expected, lots of play and cuddles made for a very full schedule. He had a quieter time than normal in terms of being silly- maybe, just maybe life is coming together for him!

Daycare Report 16th May 2009

Games
Mali sprung into action with some ball games and some tag- he definately had his action pants on!
Walks
A great walker, he does need minor corrections but otherwise he enjoyed a great walk to the park and down past the bridge.
Naps
Stretched out in his favourite spot, all droopy eyed. He snoozed away peacefully.
General Observations
Mali is always the centre of attention, he interacts well in pack play and listens to all commands. Very well behaved boy!

Daycare Report 23rd May 2009

Games
Mali always gets involved in games and play. Was a big fan of chasing the tennis balls as well as all his buddies.
Walks
Mali pulls a lot during walks and he did get into the rythmn but corrections helped. He loved his walk to the park.
Naps
Mali settled in for a short 20 minute nap on the trampoline. But soon enough, he was up and about again!
General Observations
Always has a blast at DC. Is non-stop from the moment he gets here. YAY- so much fun!!!

Games
Mali had his pal Charlie to keep him amused. Chasey and balls games kept him a busy fella.
Walks
A nice early morning walk. It was freezing but nice to see the sunrise! Peaceful and calm, just the way he likes it.
Naps
A rest on his dog bed. Dozing off to soothing music. A powernap to recharge for round 2.
General Observations
This boy is a regular. Fits into the DC routine snugly. Loves handler attention. A good cuddle makes Mali's day!

Games
Mali learned some new games including the tunnel chase and we tried the agility jump.
Walks
Some excellent walking on heel with big Chewy the great dane- there's no room to be silly with her around.
Naps
He was more than stuffed last night. Not a single peep out of his little self. Good night Mali.
General Observations
Very busy yesterday, loads of mates and a ton of action. He really enjoys his Friday play days and makes the most of them.

Interacting with other dogs as they played ball. Likes to watch whats going on.

Went for a good walk with nice enough weather to enjoy a stroll around.

Had a good rest after walk and play, not too tired.

Games
Every minute of his stay was an opportunity for a play. Mali was running around non-stop, stirring up his friends to come and chase him. So much fun!
Walks
A few nice long walks to the park during his stay is exactly what puts the big goofy smile on Mali's face. He was a very well-behaved boy!
Naps
Mali's naps weren't long, there was far too much fun to be had.
General Observations
Mali is always a barrel of fun, making the most of walks and playtime. Bringing out the best in his 4 legged friends.

Games
Mali had a heap of fun playing with all of his pals. He ran and he chased after the tennis balls non-stop! YAY!
Walks
Walks around stiney creek had Mali on his toes as the bunny rabbits hopped across his path which made him very excited! Good Boy!
Naps
He snoozed away on the beanbag next to his good mate Dino. This was never for long though, as he was just too busy playing!!
General Observations
Such a fun and adventurous time here at DC. Mali always knows how to make the most of his time.
He will sleep well tonight; that's for sure.

Mali is sooooo excited when he knows its game time outside. He runs around the whole time, chasing balls and other dogs.
Walks
Mali is very good on his walks, eager to please and responsive to commands. He loved his walks to the park and to the new trail under the Westgate where the bunnies are.
Naps
Mali took his favourite spot up on the play equipment. When he got up he gave a big, big stretch and yawn. What a life!
General Observations
Throughout his stay, Mali was always participating in something fun. He was always playing games with his pals including chasey and wrestling.

Daycare Report August 15th 2009

Games
Mali sure loves to play a good long game of tug-of-war. But, when there's no time for that a good game of chasey will keep him happy!
Walks
Mali can pull on the lead at times but with quite a bit of positive reinforcement he walks beautifully right by your side.
Naps
Very occassionally!
A lot of time there is just too much fun to be had instead! But when there is time for a sleep Mali is stretched out on the beanbag.
General Observations
Mali is an energetic boy who is always looking for a nice long pat and attention.

Games
Mali made the most of playtime and was just Go, Go, Go. He loved the tennis balls but enjoyed a good wrestle with Dino too!!
Walks
He certainly loved his walks as he raced out the door in a hurry!! Was happy to explore the streets of Yarraville, as there were lots of new smells.
Naps
Wasn't really into power naps, but had a little rest up on the top bunk for a while next to Pugsley. Nice 'n' relaxed!!
General Observations
A fun stay for this cheeky boy! He made the most of his time spent here and will definately sleep well tonight. Good Boy Mali!!
